The Twenty-Third Annual Ribbon Festival
This festival gives students the opportunity to perform one or two solos or ensembles, in a formal recital setting, for a supportive audience of family and friends. Students will receive a written critique from an expert clinician, giving them positive feedback on their performance and also ideas for further progress and improvement. Every student participating receives a medal on a colorful ribbon that they can wear as a symbol of their achievement.

Students may perform one or two of their most polished pieces (not their newest piece). For more advanced students, you may want to consider choosing a review piece from two or more books back from their current level of study. If performing two pieces, we suggest choosing selections from two contrasting periods. Music may be chosen from the Suzuki literature or outside the literature.
Students must perform with piano accompaniment when appropriate.
All solo music must be memorized. Chamber music and ensembles may use sheet music. Please bring your own music stands.
Each student must provide their original sheet music or Suzuki Book with measures numbered for the clinician.
