STXSA Fall Workshop 2019
“Fall Fiddling Festival”
Tap your twinkling toes and flex your fiddling fingers! Violin, viola, and cello students will all enjoy this exciting all-day Suzuki Workshop with a parent. Everyone will attend multiple group classes, focusing on Suzuki literature, review, technique, and more. Enrichment classes that focus on Western Swing fiddling (think Bob Wills style) and Introduction to Improvisation will also be offered. An informative lecture class, just for parents, is also included. Teachers and clinicians of the highest caliber will be coming from all over the United States to teach these classes. An optional master class lesson on Friday evening gives students a one-on-one experience with a visiting clinician, so sign up for that extra experience on your application form!
The workshop day begins with a huge play-in and ends with a grand concert with all workshop participants performing as a group. On Sunday, there will be a special teacher development session by clinician Judy Bossuat-Gallic.
